- An earthquake off the coast of El Salvador hit at a magnitude of 7.3. It killed one person; an electricity pole fell on him when the earthquake struck. A dozen homes were slightly damaged but the coast was calm and the airport was unaffected. The presidential spokesperson urged people to more higher on the and in case of tsunamis, but there hasn't been a threat yet.
- This earthquake was of a big magnitude so I am impressed that only one person died. This shows how prepared they are for earthquakes. They probably have reinforced walls. The culture has made precautions to overcome natural disasters like earthquakes.
- The culture of this country has been affected by natural disasters because of its location on Earth. The people of El Salvador had adapted from previous disasters and pulled together to make a community that would be more successful in survival. The way they make their buildings and their attitude towards earthquakes describe pieces of their culture. The El Salvadorians stand strong after the 7.3 magnitude earthquake came in.
